Abu Dhabi is getting a stunning new addition to its coastline with the unveiling of Fahid Island; a vibrant, luxurious destination that blends wellness, culture, and world-class living.
Positioned between two of the capital’s most sought-after areas, Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, Fahid Island is designed to be a seamless mix of energy and serenity, city life and beachfront escape.

The 2.7 million sqm island boasts 11 kilometres of coastline, including 4.6 kilometres of pristine beachfront on one side and peaceful mangrove forests on the other.
With every corner of the island just a five-minute stroll from the water, it’s all about easy access to nature and a strong sense of coastal community.
Fahid Island is set to raise the bar in sustainable and wellness-focused living. It’s the world’s first Fitwel-certified island, which highlights its commitment to health-focused urban design.
On top of that, it’s already achieved LEED Platinum precertification and is aiming for a 3-Pearl Estidama rating; clear signs that sustainability is at the heart of the project.
Getting around the island will be a breeze too. It’s been designed for eco-friendly mobility, with pedestrian bridges, walkable streetscapes, and plenty of shaded areas to make outdoor life comfortable year-round.
Education will also play a major role in the community. Aldar is teaming up with a top-tier international education partner to create a premium school on the island, giving families even more reason to call Fahid Island home.

Architecture buffs will be pleased to hear that some of the world’s top design talent is involved. Japanese architects Kengo Kuma and Koichi Takada are each bringing their unique residential visions to life on the island, alongside design studios like London-based ACME and UAE’s own NAGA Architects.
When it comes to living options, there’s plenty to get excited about. Fahid Island will feature more than 6,000 luxury residences; including apartments, townhouses, and ultra-high-end villas.
The first project to launch is Fahid Beach Residences, a limited collection of seven buildings, each with 65 homes, designed to offer maximum privacy and an elevated beachfront lifestyle.
