Connections are available from three key destinations across the capital
Jumping aboard the UAE’s first passenger rail service is about to become even more convenient.
As Etihad Rail launches its introductory passenger route between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, travellers can now book a dedicated shuttle bus to take the stress out of getting to and from the station.
Priced at just AED10, the shuttle buses provide seamless connectivity from three key locations to Mohamed Bin Zayed City Station, making catching the train simpler for commuters, tourists and day-trippers alike.
Three convenient stops
The shuttle service connects the station with ADNOC Headquarters on the Corniche, ADNEC Centre, and Reem Mall on Reem Island.
The buses are scheduled to align with Etihad Rail’s departures and arrivals, helping passengers enjoy a smooth transfer between the train and the city.
It also helps passengers avoid the hassle of driving, parking or arranging expensive taxi journeys.
Timed to match your train
There are three shuttle services operating each day in both directions. Buses travelling from ADNOC Headquarters and Reem Mall to the station depart at 7.04am, 12.38pm and 5.24pm, with journeys taking approximately 50 minutes.
Meanwhile, buses from ADNEC Centre leave at 7.29am, 1.03pm and 5.49pm, reaching the station in around 30 minutes. After arriving by train, passengers can catch return shuttle buses from the station to all three destinations at 7.39am, 1.04pm and 7.33pm.
Don’t forget to book ahead
Unlike a regular city bus, the shuttle must be reserved when purchasing your Etihad Rail ticket.
At present, passengers cannot buy shuttle tickets at the station, so it’s worth planning ahead to secure your seat.
Explore Abu Dhabi with ease
For people visiting the capital, each stop also places visitors within easy reach of some of Abu Dhabi’s top attractions. The ADNOC Headquarters stop is close to Emirates Palace, Qasr Al Watan and the Observation Deck at 300 in Etihad Towers.
ADNEC Centre is the city’s premier exhibition and conference venue, while Reem Mall offers shopping, dining and family attractions including Snow Abu Dhabi, alongside convenient public transport connections to the rest of the city.
