Etihad Airways has just announced its 31st new destination this year, with new flights to Kabul, Afghanistan starting later this year.
The UAE national carrier said this new route is responding to a growing demand for travel between the two countries, while also connecting Afghanistan to the GCC and the rest of the world.
Starting 18 December 2025, there will be three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The outgoing flight from Kabul leaves Abu Dhabi at 2.45pm, arriving in Kabul at 6.15pm; the return flight leaves at 7.10pm, getting travellers back to Zayed International Airport at 10.10pm.
Kabul is officially the 31st route announced this year, following recent announcements to Palma de Mallorca and Damascus.
Etihad’s new service will help the 6 million Afghans who live across the world travel back home, including the 300,000 Afghans who live in the UAE.
