Dubai Metro timings, early check-in and all the airport advisories to take into consideration today
The storm has officially commenced which means a little extra precaution, especially for those on flights!
For the travellers scheduled to fly out on Thursday and Friday, both Dubai Airport and Zayed International Airport have issued advisories to take into consideration following the unpredictable weather forecast.
First and foremost, all passengers are being advised to factor in extra time to head to the airport.
In the case of Dubai Airport specifically, passengers are being urged to check the latest flight status with their airline and to use the Dubai Metro, where possible.
“We advise guests who are flying out of Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) to plan ahead. To avoid potential delays due to road congestion, we recommend guests utilise smart apps for real-time traffic updates and alternative routes and consider using the Dubai Metro to get to DXB Terminals 1 and 3,” it said in a media advisory.

Dubai Metro have also extended their timings up until 5am to ease the situation for those commuting. With the government having called for remote working on 2 and 3 May, the metros might be clearer, making it easier for you to travel.
Emirates has also urged passengers to double-check the status of flights for any changes due to the weather conditions.
As for those travelling via Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, the advice remains to allow adequate time in case of traffic delays.
