Disneyland Abu Dhabi’s centrepiece will float on water

We already knew that Disneyland Abu Dhabi was on its way, a first for the region and a game-changer for theme parks in the Middle East.

But now, Disney has just confirmed a jaw-dropping new detail: the park’s castle will be built out on the sea.

Set against the sparkling backdrop of the Arabian Gulf, this first-of-its-kind floating castle will be unlike anything seen in any Disney park around the world.

The design draws inspiration from natural elements like water, blending the magic of the ocean with subtle nods to Disney princesses like Moana, Elsa, and Anna.

The result is a castle that feels modern, timeless, and completely unique to the region.

Set to open on Yas Island, Disneyland Abu Dhabi marks Disney’s first theme park in the Middle East, developed in partnership with Miral, the creators behind many of Abu Dhabi’s iconic destinations.

This isn’t a copy-paste of parks seen in other parts of the world. From the layout to the storytelling, everything is being designed exclusively for the region, with the floating castle as the heart of the experience.

This sea-based castle signals a bold, immersive, and future-forward approach to park design.

Expect multiple themed lands, state-of-the-art attractions, and regional storytelling woven into the magic.

With water at its core, the castle will offer visitors something no other Disney park can; a seamless blend of fantasy and nature, set in a city that already celebrates both.
