Arab TV icons launch new Abu Dhabi summer campaign

Yasmin Abdelaziz and Ahmed Sharif endorse Abu Dhabi

Yasmin Abdelaziz and Ahmed Sharif discover why Abu Dhabi Is ‘Totally Recommended’ this summer

If you’re still wondering where to take your summer break, two of the GCC’s biggest stars may just have the perfect answer: right here in Abu Dhabi.

Egyptian film icon Yasmin Abdelaziz and Bahraini comedy sensation Ahmed Sharif have teamed up with Experience Abu Dhabi for a new summer campaign; and spoiler alert: they’re totally sold on it.

The campaign, fittingly titled ‘Totally Recommended,’ invites audiences to see the capital through fresh eyes; those of two beloved celebrities exploring Abu Dhabi their own way. The result?

A pair of vibrant, personality-packed films that highlight not just the city’s top attractions but the emotion, adventure, and warmth that keep people coming back.

Yasmin Abdelaziz: “Abu Dhabi had more to show me—around every corner”

In her film, Yasmin takes us on a journey that’s part luxury escape, part cultural deep dive.

She kicks things off with the thrills of Yas Island; home to pulse-pounding roller coasters, indoor snow at Snow Abu Dhabi, and family fun around every corner.

But she also makes space for reflection, finding quiet beauty at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the UAE’s most iconic landmarks.

Ahmed Sharif: From laughs to wave-riding action

Meanwhile, Ahmed Sharif’s summer story brings in the laughs, and the adrenaline.

Known for his hilarious skits and playful takes on everyday life, the Bahraini comedian dives into childhood nostalgia at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, before switching gears to catch waves at Surf Abu Dhabi, the region’s largest man-made surf park.

Big fun for families

For families planning a sunny escape, Yas Island’s Kids Go Free deal might be the clincher. Until 30 September, every paying adult gets one child under 12 to stay, play, and dine completely free at select hotels

That includes blockbuster attractions like Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World, and the newly opened SeaWorld Yas Island—all within a short distance of each other.

There’s also a full lineup of kids’ camps and creative activities happening all summer long, meaning the little ones stay engaged while parents get time to unwind.

Why Abu Dhabi?

Between dazzling theme parks, peaceful mosques, cultural treasures, beachfront relaxation, and unbeatable summer offers, Abu Dhabi continues to raise the bar for Gulf summer getaways.

And with personalities like Yasmin and Ahmed now singing its praises, the capital’s ‘Totally Recommended’ message couldn’t come at a better time.
