British Airways has stunned travellers by announcing the suspension of its direct flights between London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi from 31 March to 25 October, 2025.

The disruption is linked to a shortage of engines for the airline’s Boeing 787 fleet, which handles long-haul flights, including the Heathrow-Abu Dhabi route.
