The new Terminal A will welcome Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s first flight on 14 November

There’s a new arrival at Abu Dhabi’s Terminal A, and it’s great news for budget travellers!

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has officially announced the relocation of its operations to Terminal A, the newly opened state-of-the-art facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Flights are taking off as early as today, 14 November, with the first flight arriving from Beirut, Lebanon at 5.55pm. The first departing flight is also taking off today at 6.55pm to Kolkata, India.

One of the largest airport terminals in the world, Terminal A is expected to accommodate up to 45 million passengers per year, process 11,000 travellers per hour and operate 79 aircraft at any given time.

The new terminal’s opening is pivotal when global air traffic recovery is fast approaching pre-pandemic levels. As such, the relocation aims to be a key driver in shaping Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s next phase of growth.

The relocation follows the third phase of the airline’s transition into the new terminal. Terminal A is set to prioritise the overall passenger experience and optimise operations while ensuring seamless connectivity for customers.

Currently, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates a fleet of 10 Airbus A320 aircraft to 28 destinations from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

In addition to Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways also had a massive opening at Terminal A earlier this week. With the inaugural flight to Delhi India, they welcomed in a new era of travel for the UAE capital.
