While peak summer has passed, high humidity and intense heat continue across the UAE

Despite the gradual end of peak summer, the UAE continues to face intense heat, with temperatures in Abu Dhabi expected to reach 45°C today, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Skies will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy across the country, with cloud formations developing over eastern and southern regions.

These areas might witness light rainfall, providing some temporary relief from the heat.

Winds are forecast to blow from the southeast to northeast at speeds ranging between 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally reaching up to 35 km/h.

These breezes may carry dust in certain areas, slightly affecting visibility at times.

Offshore, the sea is expected to remain slight to calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Even as temperatures ease slightly compared to mid-summer highs, the heat remains intense.

Dubai is set to record highs of 42°C, while inland areas could soar to 48°C. Coupled with this is a significant rise in humidity, particularly in coastal and mountainous regions, where levels may climb to 85 per cent, amplifying the discomfort.

Recent weeks have brought varying weather across the UAE, including light showers, downpours, and even hail in isolated areas.

With cloud activity picking up again, there’s a growing possibility of similar weather patterns returning.

Residents are advised to stay indoors during peak hours, remain hydrated, and keep up with official weather alerts as the country continues to navigate the tail end of summer’s extreme conditions.
