Abu Dhabi to Muscat bus service

The popular services were terminated a couple of years ago due to the pandemic

A new bus route connecting Muscat to Abu Dhabi has been launched this week by Mwasalat, Oman’s national transportation company, in a move that sees bus services resumed in the region.

The route will begin on Sunday 1 October and will offer another mode of transport between the two neighbouring countries. Due to the pandemic a couple of years ago, these services were terminated but have now resumed to provide commuters with another viable option to flying.

The duration of the trip is six hours with several different stops along the way including Al Ain. A one way ticket will cost just AED 110 and passengers are allowed to bring 23kg of luggage and 7kg of hand luggage.

From Muscat to Abu Dhabi, buses will depart from the Azaiba bus station in Muscat at 6.30am and arrive at the Abu Dhabi bus station at 3.40pm. From Abu Dhabi to Muscat, buses will depart Abu Dhabi at 10.45am and arrive at the Azaiba bus station at 8.35pm.

The re-opening of the popular route will provide UAE residents with a viable alternative to flying and offer them a chance to go and explore the wonderful tourist attractions, natural beaches and much more.

See you there!
