Abu Dhabi authorities have announced partial road closures across key streets in the capital over the coming weeks.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance and follow alternative routes to minimise delays while maintenance and improvement works are carried out.
Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street
From Tuesday, 9 December to Monday, 22 December 2025, parts of Sheikh Zayed Street near the bridge will be closed in phases:
12am, 9 Dec – 10pm, 15 Dec: Three left lanes will be shut.
10pm, 15 Dec – 6am, 22 Dec: Two right lanes will be closed.

Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street
Meanwhile, on Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street, lane closures will take place from 5pm on 5 December until 5am on 8 December.
Officials say these temporary restrictions are part of ongoing road improvement works designed to keep traffic flowing smoothly and make Abu Dhabi’s roads safer.
