Authorities are cracking down on excessively noisy vehicles, from roaring engines to reckless driving, and fines aren’t light.
In fact, disturbing the peace could cost AED2,000 and 12 traffic points.
Why the strict rules? Loud vehicles don’t just annoy neighbours; they create stress and safety risks for everyone on the road.
Children, the elderly, and people with health issues are particularly affected, and those living near sandy areas or family camps have had enough.
The police have made it clear: “Enjoying the winter season should not come at the expense of disturbing your community.”
