Abu Dhabi to welcome over 20,000 runners for upcoming major sporting marathon event
We are just over a week away from one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar in the capital as the fifth edition of Abu Dhabi Marathon 2023 returns on 16 December.
Welcoming runners from all over the world, the event is expected to attract in excess of 20,000 participants tasked with five separate distances including the full 42.1km, marathon relay, 10km, 5km and 2.5km races.
The races will take place commencing from ADNOC headquarters on the Corniche Road and finish at ADNOC Campus, near Bainuna Public Park. Registration is free for People of Determination and Paralympics participants, underlining the organisers’ continued commitment to inclusivity within the UAE.

The marathon will boast several very experienced athletes who will fight it out for top honours but the event still maintains a real family and fun day out for the more novice contestants and is perfect for you and your friends to join.
This is a community event for all concerned and regardless of your fitness level you are welcomed to come along on the day.
Marathon Village will be located at ADNOC headquarters, and it will be open from 12 December up until race day on 16 December from 3pm to 10pm. All runners will receive a Nike race t-shirt and participants can also customise their shirts by adding their respective names online or during the village operating hours.
