Marriott Bonvoy, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Visa have teamed up to launch two new co-branded cards in the UAE, designed to turn qualifying everyday purchases into points, hotel stays and travel perks.
The new Marriott Bonvoy ADIB Visa Infinite Card and Marriott Bonvoy ADIB Visa Signature Card are aimed squarely at travellers who like a little extra from their spending, whether that means a weekend hotel escape, a room upgrade or a memorable dining experience.
The big draw is that Marriott Bonvoy points on qualifying everyday spend, which can then be used across Marriott Bonvoy’s huge global portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands and 10,000 destinations. That includes everything from hotel stays and room upgrades to dining experiences and special events.
Points can also be transferred to more than 40 airline partners, while Marriott Bonvoy Moments gives members the chance to swap their points for once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
The cards also come with some tempting welcome perks. For a limited time, the Marriott Bonvoy ADIB Visa Infinite Card offers the chance to earn up to 200,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, as well as the opportunity to fast-track from Gold Elite to Platinum Elite status.
Meanwhile, the Marriott Bonvoy ADIB Visa Signature Card comes with 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points upon activation and Silver Elite status.
Both cards offer Marriott Bonvoy Elite status, with benefits including priority late checkout and enhanced room upgrades, subject to availability. Cardholders can also enjoy airport lounge access, dining offers and a selection of travel and lifestyle benefits.
It’s essentially a way of making the spending you’re already doing work a little harder for your next escape.
The partnership brings together ADIB’s Sharia-compliant banking expertise, Marriott Bonvoy’s global hospitality network and Visa’s worldwide payment infrastructure, giving UAE customers a new way to earn and use rewards at home and abroad.
And with Visa accepted at more than 150 million merchant locations worldwide, you won’t exactly be short of opportunities to rack up those points.
