Get ready for the Middle East’s biggest and boldest defence expo, as more than 150,000 visitors are set to converge in Abu Dhabi from 17-21 February for the highly anticipated International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (Navdex).

This year promises an electrifying showcase of cutting-edge military tech, the latest in naval advancements, and jaw-dropping innovations that could shape the future of global security.

 

The world’s defence elite gather in Abu Dhabi

 

IDEX 2025 is about to be the event of the year for defence and security professionals, with a staggering 1,565 exhibitors from all over the world filling the exhibition halls.

This biennial extravaganza is not just about the UAE flexing its defence prowess, but a grand meeting ground for industry giants and innovators to display their latest products and services.

From international military powerhouses like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Raytheon Technologies to homegrown Emirati leader Edge, the best of the best will be on full display.

With over 180,000 square metres of exhibition space and 41 national pavilions (including 213 national companies), IDEX is a massive platform for decision-makers, top-tier companies, and start-ups to explore the future of defence and security.

Among the show-stoppers will be new features like a dedicated platform addressing chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats, with participation from 38 companies across 13 countries.

Technology on display

 

IDEX isn’t just a convention; it’s an all-out technological showcase. Visitors will witness the unveiling of more than 3,300 advanced products and technologies.

From state-of-the-art drones to next-gen fighter jets and missile systems, the focus will be on solutions designed to respond to the geopolitical challenges of today’s world.

And let’s not forget about the future: more than 156 start-ups will be introducing innovations that could reshape the military landscape.

Want to see the latest naval tech? Navdex will feature some of the world’s most impressive naval fleets, with ships from the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Pakistan, Greece, South Korea, and India making waves.

 

A global affair: New countries, new alliances

 

This year, IDEX 2025 will welcome seven new countries, including Qatar, Ethiopia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Cyprus, further reinforcing the global scale of the event.
