Abu Dhabi’s on-demand bus service, Abu Dhabi Link, completes one million passenger trips since its 2020 launch
Abu Dhabi Mobility has just celebrated a major milestone.
Their on-demand bus service, Abu Dhabi Link, has completed a whopping one million passenger trips since it started in 2020.
Yes, you read that right – one million trips!
This fantastic Abu Dhabi bus service lets you request a bus to take you from where you are to where you need to be, all within certain areas.
In 2023 alone, there were 367,000 trips.
That’s a lot of bus rides!
Al Shahama saw 146,000 trips, Yas Island had 84,000, Saadiyat Island recorded 53,000, and Khalifa City also had 84,000 trips.

People are loving the convenience – the Abu Dhabi Link app was downloaded 27,000 times last year.
The Abu Dhabi bus service has come a long way since its 2020 start with 50,000 trips, and it’s expected to hit 400,000 trips in 2024.
All those buses covered more than four million kilometres, fulfilling 80 per cent of requests.
Abdulla Al Marzouqi, the Director General of the Integrated Transport Centre, is thrilled.
He’s proud of this milestone and promises even more improvements using the latest tech and real-time tracking to make sure your ride is smooth and reliable.
You can catch an Abu Dhabi Link bus daily from 6am. to 11pm.

The buses serve Yas Island, Khalifa City, Saadiyat Island, and Al Shahama. And it’s just AED 2 with the Hafilat card.
