Abu dhabi best city in the world internet connection

Kearney’s Global Cities Index has found Abu Dhabi the best city in the world in a massive new category

If being the smartest city, safest city or even one of the wealthiest isn’t enough, Abu Dhabi’s now been declared the best city for internet connection.

According to the latest report by Kearney’s Global Cities Index, the capital has emerged as the best global city in the world for fast internet connection. Very recently, Abu Dhabi had also been crowned as one of the best in the world for remote workers.

The report analyses connectivity and global character of the world’s biggest cities and it’s the first time this metric was included. Under the Information Exchange dimension, the update is designed to account for the increasing importance of the digital economy, as digital services continue to outpace goods.

The top scorer for the overall dimension was New York, while Singapore was named the best global city for online presence and Zurich and Geneva for broadband subscribers.

New York was highlighted as the second-best city for internet speed, while London (one of the top global cities overall) came in at 97th.

Additionally, the report also highlighted Abu Dhabi and Dubai as the best places for ease of entry, another new metric for this year’s report. This category focuses on a city’s success in attracting and retaining foreign talent, driven by open immigration policies for the same.
