Abu Dhabi Airports had an epic 2024, hitting some serious milestones! They welcomed a record-breaking 29.4 million passengers; up a massive 28.1 per cent from the year before.
How’d it happen? Well, they expanded their network like crazy, adding 29 new routes and welcoming eight new airlines, including big names like British Airways and Air Astana.
Plus, aircraft movements shot up by 10 per cent! They’re definitely becoming a global aviation powerhouse.
Zayed International Airport, not only became the World’s Most Beautiful Airport (yep, really!), but it also added a bunch of new retail outlets; 28 to be exact. Talk about shopping on the go!
Cargo also got a major boost; 678,990 tons in 2024! That’s a 21 per cent jump. The capital is quickly becoming a logistics hub.

And they didn’t stop there; they introduced a new hotel at the airport, AUHotel, for the ultimate in traveller comfort.
All this and more while still focusing on the local workforce, with almost half of the team being UAE Nationals.
