The massive golfing events returns in just a few weeks
PARTNER CONTENT: Yas Island is gearing up for one of the biggest weeks on its sporting calendar as the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship returns to Yas Links from 5–8 November, kicking off the DP World Tour Play-Offs.
Rory McIlroy is back, and he has unfinished business. The six-time Major Champion, current Masters Champion and reigning Race to Dubai Champion has finished runner-up in Abu Dhabi four times. He returns chasing a first win here and a record-equalling eighth Race to Dubai title.
Staged by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the DP World Tour, the 21st edition of the Championship brings the top 70 available players on the Race to Dubai Rankings to the capital. Only the top 50 go through to the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai the following week.
There’s just as much happening away from the fairways.
For the first time, family day becomes a full Family Weekend, running across Saturday and Sunday in celebration of the UAE Year of the Family. Every ticket includes access to the Future Falcons Kids’ Zone, with a bouncy castle, face painting, bubble shows and giant games to keep the little ones busy.
Fancy a go yourself? Grab a free golf lesson, take on the long putt challenge, or catch the trick-shot shows on the driving range, right next to the pros.
Over in the Championship Village, you’ll find food trucks, big screens and free challenges for kids and adults, with live performances on the main stage once play wraps up.
General admission is free on Thursday and Friday, with weekend tickets starting from just AED 75. Under-18s go free all week.
Looking to upgrade your day out?
Bar on Nine is back, with limited promotional tickets from AED 170, including an AED 100 food and drink voucher, premium seating overlooking the 9th green and music after play.
For the ultimate golf day, the Championship Chalet on the 18th offers five-star hospitality, air-conditioned comfort and panoramic views of the final hole, starting at AED 1,600.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the game, this is your chance to see the world’s best golfers live in Abu Dhabi.
