Head here on a Saturday night for the lively karaoke drunch (including free-flowing drinks for AED 150 from 5pm to 10pm) or join Abu Dhabi’s emerging talents for the Thursday jam night (also open to poets, musicians and spoken word artists). Low key and casual, both events attract an unpretentious and welcoming crowd.

As one of Abu Dhabi’s loudest, brightest and longest running sports bars, the iconic establishment is the perfect place to strut your stuff and stretch your vocal cords, and of course cheer on your fellow karaoke lovers whilst enjoying some yummy American nibbles and gentle banter from the likable hosts. The retro arcade machines that line the walls add to the fun, and everyone who is brave enough to pick up the mic and treat the crowd to a song is rewarded with a free drink. Nice.

Another iconic downtown karaoke spot tucked away in Cristal Hotel, Taste of Korea is one of the quirkiest and most enjoyable nights out in Abu Dhabi (well, provided you love Korean food and karaoke that is). A restaurant and karaoke bar rolled into one, you can feast on the unlimited BBQ deal (including specialty meats) until you are full to bursting, and then move through to one of the private karaoke suites to work it off by busting some moves to some classic tracks. House beverages are also available, and the menu offers some of the most authentic Korean food you’ll find outside of Seoul. Open all the way through until 4am (yes, really), it’s one of those spots where a chilled meal out can easily turn into a late-night party.
