Superman fans, this one’s for you
If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to have superpowers, your chance is coming to Yas Island.
Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is expanding once again, and this time it’s bringing not one, but two brand-new DC attractions to the indoor theme park.
The headline act is set to become a thrilling new ride called Kryptonite Collider, which officially opens on 26 July 2026.
The new addition promises to be unlike anything currently at the park, throwing guests straight into the world of Superman’s greatest enemy, Lex Luthor.
Forget simply queuing for a ride. The experience begins before you even step on board, with visitors recruited as “test subjects” for Luthor’s mysterious Everyman Project.
Through immersive video announcements and storytelling, guests are pulled deeper into the DC universe before taking their seats inside a giant centrifuge-style ride vehicle.
Then the real fun begins.
Designed to simulate the power of kryptonite, the attraction sends riders spinning through a vortex of motion, lights, sound effects, and high-energy thrills.
The 32-person ride combines cutting-edge technology with immersive storytelling to create the feeling of unlocking superhuman abilities.

At the end of the experience, riders can even discover their newfound powers through interactive digital displays.
Also announced is Superman Up and Away, a next-generation flying roller coaster that is currently under development.
While fans will have to wait a little longer, with construction expected to be completed in 2028, the concept sounds seriously exciting.
The ride will allow guests to experience what it’s like to fly alongside Superman himself, launching riders face-down through the skies of Metropolis as they join the Man of Steel on a mission to save the city

The announcement marks another major step in the continued growth of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, which has become one of Yas Island’s standout attractions since opening its doors.
Already home to six immersive lands packed with iconic characters, rides, and family-friendly experiences, these latest additions are set to make the DC universe even bigger.
For anyone looking for their next adrenaline fix, it looks like Metropolis is about to become the hottest destination on Yas Island.
