From hands-on workshops to guided tours, there’s something for everyone to explore the UAE’s rich history, culture, and heritage.
Kicking things off in early April, the museum is rolling out a special weekend event for World Autism Awareness Day, from 2–5 April.
Designed for visitors on the autism spectrum, as well as their families and caregivers, this inclusive programme offers masterclasses, panel discussions, film screenings, performances, and sensory-friendly activities.
The museum will also light up in blue to mark the occasion, making for some Instagram-worthy photos.
On 13 April, Al Dhuha Hour returns with a fresh twist. Now a monthly programme for senior citizens, including those living with dementia and their caregivers, blends guided tours with creative workshops.

April’s session invites participants to try botanical eco-printing using traditional Emirati flowers and plants; a hands-on way to get creative while connecting with heritage.
For those who prefer a slower pace, Quiet Morning has been extended from 9 to 11am, giving visitors on the autism spectrum and others with sensory sensitivities plenty of time to enjoy the galleries without the rush.
Beyond the museum walls, the From Museum to Community initiative takes the museum’s stories on the road.
Talks and discussions will reach cultural institutions across the UAE, fostering dialogue with communities, researchers, and heritage experts.
Regular guided tours like A Walk Through Our History (with Emirati Sign Language support) and A Walk Among Our Wings, plus workshops such as Oasis Weaving, Build Your Museum, Create Your Calming Necklace, and Design Your Porcelain Fruit Bowl, continue to offer fun, interactive experiences for families and learners of all ages.
Whether you’re a history buff, a creative soul, or just looking for a fun outing, Zayed National Museum’s April programme has something for everyone.
