The behind-the-scene makes of Dune will arrive on 1 November
Some of Hollywood’s top production stars are heading to Abu Dhabi for a two-day masterclass covering everything from creative and physical production to design.
Leading the charge are some seriously impressive names: Herb Gains, Executive VP of Physical Production at Legendary Entertainment; Sam Kozhaya, Executive VP of Operations and Corporate Development; and Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette, known for his work on all three Dune films.

The next installment of the franchise is set to be filmed in Abu Dhabi, making his insights even more exciting for attendees.
This two-day film production masterclass is landing in Abu Dhabi on 1 November, and it’s a golden opportunity for all you budding film enthusiasts out there.
The Creative Media Authority (CMA), along with Creative Lab and the Abu Dhabi Film Commission, are rolling out the sessions.
You will get a peek behind the curtain at how production design and physical production team up, what it really takes to greenlight a movie, and the creative magic behind hits like Dune, Godzilla vs. Kong, Enola Holmes, Arrival, and Sicario.
Each session runs a full day at Sandstorm Studio in Yas Creative Hub, and there are only 100 seats per day; so early birds will definitely get the worm.
The masterclass is all about nurturing Abu Dhabi’s next wave of filmmakers. And the experts will be spilling the secrets behind bringing Arrakis to life in the Liwa Desert for the Dune franchise.
