Denis Villeneuve brings Dune back to the breathtaking dunes of Liwa
The epic saga of Dune is coming home once again, to the golden, otherworldly sands of Abu Dhabi’s Liwa Desert.
Director Denis Villeneuve has confirmed that filming for Dune: Part Three will begin later this year, and fans will be thrilled to know that the iconic Liwa dunes will reprise their role as the mystical, perilous planet of Arrakis.
This isn’t Liwa’s first appearance in the Dune universe. Both Dune: Part One and Part Two brought the haunting beauty of the desert to life in jaw-dropping fashion, capturing the vastness and harsh majesty of Arrakis like no other location could.
