There may e some light rain and fog in Abu Dhabi

The UAE’s intense summer may be showing subtle signs of winding down, or at least offering a temporary break.

While temperatures are expected to climb as high as 43ºC in Abu Dhabi and 40ºC in Dubai today (Tuesday, 26 August), there’s a chance of light rain in some parts of the country, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

Skies are forecast to be fair to partly cloudy, with periods of heavier cloud cover during the morning that might bring scattered showers.

After dark, humidity levels are expected to rise, particularly over western areas, potentially leading to light fog by early Wednesday morning.

Winds will remain light to moderate throughout the day, occasionally picking up to a brisk 35 km/h.

Both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain calm, with only light sea conditions forecast.

What’s intriguing is the timing. Just two days ago, on 24 August, the Suhail star rose, a celestial event long regarded in Arabian tradition as the first sign of a seasonal shift.

While daytime highs remain scorching, could these cloudy skies and cool night breezes be the very first whispers of autumn?
