We rocked up at midday when it was still quiet, but soon the place started to hum with laid-back chatter and families settling in for their Sunday ritual. The team here? Super personable, never intrusive, and clearly passionate about creating a relaxed, feel-good vibe.
Now to the main event: the Sunday Roast.
The menu is compact but spot on, with classic options like beef, chicken, lamb, and even a vegetarian dish. You can go solo or level it up with house grape (red, white, or rosé).
But we went big. The Ultimate Sharing Roast – served with a bottle of grape – was a next-level experience. Technically designed for three, but we were two… and ready for a challenge.
And what a feast it was.
Picture this: an oversized three-tier stand, like something out of a high tea fantasy, except instead of scones and finger sandwiches, you get glistening, chunky slices of beef, juicy lamb cutlets, and Yorkshire puds that are fluffy on the inside and crisp on the edges. There’s chicken and a veg option on the bottom tier too.
The veg was spot on – buttery sprouts, sweet carrots, simply fluffy mashed potatoes – and the gravy? Rich, dark, and utterly addictive.
This isn’t your average carvery. It’s a beautifully presented, flavour-packed celebration of British tradition, served in a venue that feels fresh, modern and full of charm.
