The exhibition runs until 16 February offering visitors an entire month to experience this extraordinary journey.
A vision of memory and identity
Featuring eleven breathtaking artworks, Echoes of Elsewhere traverses the blurred boundaries of reality, presenting layered compositions that demand introspection.
Noor Bahjat’s works evoke whispers of lost cities and fractured histories, pulling viewers into an enigmatic exploration of longing and resilience.
Through vivid textures and dynamic contrasts, Bahjat’s canvases reveal intricate worlds beneath their surfaces.
Her mastery of light and shadow creates an atmosphere of quiet contemplation, urging visitors to uncover untold stories and hidden truths.
The art of reconstruction
Bahjat’s creative process mirrors the emotional depth of her themes. Each piece begins as a meticulous creation, only to be veiled in darkness and rediscovered through acts of destruction.
This process leaves traces of both loss and revelation, transforming texture, color, and form into evocative languages that transcend visual storytelling.
Among the standout works are:
Vivid urban scenes obscured by darkness, scraped back into visibility to hint at truths buried under the weight of time.
Collages reconstructing fragmented memories of Damascus, layered with words of peace and unity as a fragile testament to resilience.
Circular compositions blending architecture, nature, and the ethereal, creating a dreamlike harmony where boundaries dissolve.
Subdued cityscapes contrasting thriving European metropolises with the unseen sacrifices of displaced communities, sparking reflections on exploitation and resilience.
An invitation to reflect
Echoes of Elsewhere is more than an exhibition; it is a deeply moving meditation on memory, identity, and the spaces we call home.
Noor Bahjat’s works challenge conventional boundaries and offer a profound commentary on the duality of existence.
You are encouraged to step closer, delve deeper, and engage with the layers of meaning embedded within each piece.
Don’t miss the opportunity to experience Noor Bahjat’s evocative collection. Whether you are an art enthusiast or a curious visitor, Echoes of Elsewhere promises to leave a lasting impression on your heart and mind.
