The Snow Fun Run is sliding into its second edition on Saturday, 31 May
Just when you thought summer in the UAE meant melting into your seat, Snow Abu Dhabi has one very cool twist; a snow-covered race in the middle of May!
Back by snowlar demand (sorry, not sorry), the Snow Fun Run is sliding into its second edition on Saturday, 31 May, and it’s going to be a brrrilliant time for kids aged six to 14.
Partnering with Abu Dhabi Sports Council, this icy escapade is guaranteed to flurry up some excitement as kids dash, dodge, and glide through a 400-metre snow-filled obstacle course, all while collecting tokens like frosty little champions.
At stake? Special prizes, bragging rights, and of course, the world’s chilliest hot chocolate waiting at the finish line.
And we’re not skating around the schedule; the event is neatly divided by age to keep things cool and fair:
6–8 years old: Race begins at 8.30 am (aka Operation: Tiny Toes)
9–11 years old: Snowstorm starts at 9.00 am
12–14 years old: Final snowdown at 9.30 am
Every pint-sized polar sprinter who crosses the finish line will go home with a Snow Fun Run medal, a souvenir t-shirt, and that aforementioned cup of steaming, soul-warming cocoa.

Parents, don’t worry; while your mini snow warriors race, you get FREE access to a dedicated cheering zone where you can clap, chant, and throw imaginary snowballs of encouragement (real snowballs are discouraged, unless you’re aiming for dramatic flair).
Snacks and hot drinks will be available too, just in case you want to carbo-load in solidarity.
Tickets start at AED 85, and yes; that includes hot chocolate. Because what kind of snow run doesn’t include the sweet stuff?
