UAE-born and based independent artist Shilpa Ananth, known for her eclectic fusion of Indian roots with global sounds, is making waves once again with the release of the music video for her latest single, ‘One & Only’.
Directed and edited by talented Emirati filmmaker Maitha Alawadi, the video is a visual masterpiece that perfectly complements the song’s message of love in all its forms, particularly self-love.
A standout track from Shilpa’s newly released album, REPRODUCTION, the venture has been produced by renowned LA-based producer, Drew of the Drew.
With daring and feisty lyrics, the song showcases Shilpa’s unique style and effortless ability to blend Afrobeat and Electro-Pop music. True to her roots, Shilpa also infuses a few lines from her native language, Tamil, adding an extra layer of depth and authenticity to the track.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘One & Only’, Shilpa Ananth says, “This song is about celebrating love in all its forms, but most importantly, it’s about embracing and cherishing yourself. In a world that often tells us to seek validation from others, ‘One & Only’ is a reminder to love ourselves unapologetically.”
Director Maitha adds, “Collaborating with Shilpa on this project has been an incredible experience. We wanted the visuals to reflect the song’s message of empowerment and self-love, and I believe we’ve achieved that.”
