ABU DHABI WEATHER: Abu Dhabi extends remote work; Dubai police advise caution on roads

Weather news update in Abu Dhabi

KHDA urges private schools to maintain distance learning amid weather disruptions

What a day yesterday with rain, hail and flooding across Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

In response to the ongoing adverse weather conditions, Al Ain, which was hit with huge hailstorms,  is implementing remote work policies across government entities and companies.

Effective today, Tuesday 13 February, this measure aims to ensure the safety of employees while maintaining productivity.

Educational institutions in Al Ain are also advised to continue remote learning to minimise disruptions to students’ education.

Cautions for Dubai

Dubai Police are also urging motorists to exercise caution on the roads due to variable speed limits and challenging driving conditions caused by the weather.

Meanwhile, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai is urging private schools, nurseries, and universities to remain flexible by offering distance learning options.

This move aims to mitigate the impact of road closures and delays on students’ education.
