Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, ADNOC’s CEO, emphasised the project’s significance, stating, “Beyond rails, it’s an economic lifeline, driving growth and decarbonisation in the UAE.”
During the maiden trip, Dr Al Jaber toured ADNOC’s Al Ruwais Industrial City facilities, expressing pride in their world-class standards and role in solidifying the nation’s global energy leadership.
He added, “Our facilities and skilled workforce in Al Ruwais play a key role, reinforcing our status as a responsible global energy leader.”
This rail service, a linchpin in ADNOC’s partnership with Etihad Rail, already transports sulphur, contributing to economic resilience, local resource utilization, and job creation in the UAE.
