The countdown is on until the start of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Tennis Open and yet another superstar has been added to the line-up for February.
Brazilian Haddad Maia, a semi-finalist at last year’s tournament, is the latest player confirmed to be participating in the event, which takes place at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City.
Haddad, who is currently 11th in the WTA rankings, joins Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur as confirmed entrants for the competition, with more big names to be announced over the coming weeks.
The talented 27-year-old produced a string of impressive performances during last year’s inaugural Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, defeating the likes of Marie Bouzkova, Yulia Putintseva and Elena Rybakina en route to the semi-finals, where she was beaten by eventual winner Bencic.
Fans and spectators from around the world can expect to see some of the world’s greatest players serve up a thrilling performance at this WTA500 event, with fan favourite and top 10 ranked, Ons Jabeur already confirmed.
As part of this incredible tournament, there will be an action-packed fan village, including an array of activities, exciting games and food and beverage offerings, catering to sports fans and those looking for a fun family day out.
