Abu Dhabi will soon be illuminated across key locations when a citywide light exhibition takes place from 15 November to 30 January.
Entitled Manar Abu Dhabi, the exhibition will feature many local artists providing light sculptures, projections and immersive artworks at different areas throughout the city and beyond.
A key pillar of the Public Art Abu Dhabi initiative, announced by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) in early 2023, Manar (the Arabic word for “lighthouse”) will offer residents and visitors opportunities to engage with stunning artworks and experience the transformative power of light.
That’s not all however as Manar Abu Dhabi will also be including a programme of discussions, workshops and experiences throughout the unique initiative which last until the end of January.
