Abu Dhabi’s ‘One Summer Isn’t Enough’ global campaign showcased at Manchester City’s historic moment

Campaign spotlights the wide range of experiences available throughout the summer season in the emirate

Abu Dhabi has a new global campaign spotlighting the wide range of experiences available throughout the summer season in the emirate, and what better way to make a resounding impact than launching it on one of the world’s grandest occasions.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, and Experience Abu Dhabi, the destination brand of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), joined forces on Sunday, 21 May, to celebrate the historic achievement of Manchester City, who received their third straight Premier League crown following their match against Chelsea.

The new ‘One Summer Isn’t Enough’ campaign was showcased during the match in front of a sell-out crowd at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, and broadcast live to millions of fans watching globally, including those watching live on Etihad flights.

The campaign highlights that one summer season is not enough time to discover the many unforgettable experiences that Abu Dhabi has to offer, from captivating themed destinations and the best staycation getaways, to island adventures and many more.

The Abu Dhabi campaign showcase was attended by Etihad’s CEO Antonoaldo Neves and DCT Abu Dhabi’s Director General for Tourism, Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, who celebrated the occasion with a photograph at the centre of the pitch, along with Nouf Al Boushelaibi, Executive Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications at DCT Abu Dhabi.

“Collaborating with Etihad Airways to showcase our new ‘One Summer Isn’t Enough’ campaign in front of millions of fans at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and beyond was a truly thrilling moment,” said Al Boushelaibi.

“This has been an exceptional opportunity to further build awareness of the Experience Abu Dhabi brand among football fans by linking it with this monumental game.”

For the special showcase of the campaign, Experience Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways partnered to take over the centre circle at Manchester’s Etihad stadium. The campaign was broadcast on the super-sized stadium LED screens and was also featured in the souvenir Match Day programme.
