Running from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 April, the club’s official opening week will see everyone in the family have a chance to have a swing on the golf course, serve on the padel tennis court and even relax by the pool while watching a movie.
Teeing off on Monday 18 April, gals will have the chance to showcase their skills on the stylish 36-hole golf course. Learn the basics of golf under the watchful eyes of golfing professionals at a free clinic from 9am before enjoying a high tea buffet where small sweet and savoury bites await alongside teas and coffees.
Once the dining is done, enjoy a shopping soiree where you can pick up some chic golfing couture before signing off the scorecard for the day with mixed drinks and tapas.
Tuesday 19 April is all about the boys as Yas Acres Golf & Country Club hosts its Men’s Evening. Men can enjoy a free golf clinic before placing themselves in the Roots Kitchen & Bar where smokes and Scottish distilled beverages will be savoured from 7pm to 9.30pm.
Those looking to take their first swing at golf, should mark Wednesday 20 April in their diary as Yas Acres Golf & Country Club offers golfing newbies a complimentary coaching clinic as well as a slot on the biggest driving range in the capital to put what they have learned into practice. The ‘Get Into Golf’ event will also include music, a long-drive competition where prizes will be up for grabs and Trackman access.
Thursday sees you move off the golf course and on to the padel tennis court with an ‘Introduction to Padel’. Serving you up with an opportunity to try out the UAE’s hottest sport; padel tennis; compete with friends before indulging in sumptuous Mexican fare and fun.
Welcoming the weekend is a relaxing Pool & Movie Night where you and the family can enjoy a dip in the pool before settling down with popcorn and nachos to watch a flick on the outdoor screen.
Return to the golf course on Saturday 23 April for the Yas Acres Open where you can play alongside a string of VIPs including Heikki Kovalainen, Sheikh Fahim Al Qassimi and David Horsey. The Gross & Net Men’s and Ladies winner will be recognised with an official plaque and trophy.
Rounding off the week of fun at Yas Acres Golf & Country Club is the Community Open Day where you and the family can savour a picnic replete with blankets, a hamper full of goodies including small sandwiches, fruits, juice boxes and small deserts before taking part in a Par 3 driving range competition and a miniature putting contest.
Speaking on the upcoming week-long Ramadan activities planned at the club, James Durkin, Golf Operations Manager at Yas Acres Golf & Country Club said; “I am sure that our weeklong Ramadan community event will entice both golfers and non-golfers alike to come and visit us for the first time.
“We are confident that once people are able to enjoy our amenities and see the high standards, we put into everything that we do that they will come back for more and see what else we have to offer.
“Both our member and visitor experience is second to none and during this year’s Ramadan our team will look to offer the very best culinary experience, leisure offering and golf and padel operations.”
