We are pleased to introduce King’s College Hospital London (KCHL) – International Training Centre (ITC). Our ITC’s vision is to improve overall health care through providing quality training in trauma management, disaster management & resuscitation besides public training and awareness programs. The ITC is proudly affiliated with multiple local and international organizations:

  • American Heart Association (AHA)
  • American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI)
  • Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI)

Our ITC which is directed by the International Training Faculty, Dr. Ali Al-Tuckmachy prides itself by being the one of the first of its kind in the Middle East. Over the last few years’ 39,000 healthcare professionals from all over the world, including the governmental and private health sector were trained and internationally certified in resuscitation and multiple disciplines. Our ITC is also proud of certifying over 250 Healthcare providers as instructors in various international disciplines. It’s time to make first aid, CPR, infection control, and emergency care training simple and accessible. It’s time to train with ITC. Our goal is to make life-saving training affordable, accessible, and straightforward. We strive to eliminate administrative burdens, allowing you to focus on the training.

  • Students are able to complete online training at their own pace and in less time, while companies and healthcare organisations can overcome obstacles such as scheduling, reaching remote employees and diverse learning styles.
  • eLearning can be as effective as classroom-based training. Often measured by students’ retention of course content, the average retention rate for an instructor-led class is 58%, and the eLearning experience enhances the retention rate by 25%.

 

Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course

Course Content:

The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
    • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
    • Use of an AED
    • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
    • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
    • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Course Duration:

  • 5 – 5.5 Hours (Including Breaks & Testing)

Course Certification:

  • Upon successful completion, students get the following
  • AHA Course Completion Card
  • Certificate of Attendance, Awarded CPD Hours by Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD)

 

Advanced Cardiovascular (ACLS) Provider Course

Course Content:

This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

Course Duration:

  • 5 Days= (11 – 12.5 Hours; Including Breaks & Testing)

Course Certification:

  • Upon successful completion, students get the following
  • AHA Course Completion Card
  • Certificate of Attendance, Awarded CPD Hours by HAAD

 

Heartsaver (HS) Provider Course

Course Content:

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Heartsaver classroom courses are video based, are instructor led, and feature group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an American Heart Association Instructor. Skills are taught with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique that allows students to practice skills as the video guides them. Classroom courses may also be conducted on-site at a company’s location.

  • First aid basics
  • Medical emergencies
  • Injury emergencies
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Preventing illness and injury
  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

Course Duration:

  • Half Day= (6.5 – 8 Hours; Including Breaks & Testing)

Course Certification:

ECG & Pharmacology Course

 Course Content:

The AHA’s ECG & Pharmacology Course has been updated to reflect the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. This classroom-based, Facilitator-led course is designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills and pharmacology knowledge for treating cardiovascular emergencies.

This course is for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who require this specialized knowledge for their job.

  • Basic electrophysiology
  • Normal ECG measurements
  • Basic arrhythmias
  • Administration of appropriate drugs within the ACLS algorithms

Course Duration:

  • Half Day= (5 -6.5 Hours; Including Breaks & Testing)

Course Certification:

  • Upon successful completion, students get the following
  • AHA Course Completion Certification
  • Certificate of Attendance, Awarded CPD Hours by HAAD

 

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization (PEARS) Provider Course

Course Content:

Updated to reflect the AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC, PEARS helps healthcare providers develop the knowledge and skills needed for emergency evaluation and treatment of seriously ill infants and children. PEARS teaches providers how to recognize respiratory distress, shock and cardiac arrest, and provide appropriate lifesaving interventions within the initial minutes of response until the child is transferred to an advanced life support provider. The goal of PEARS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes. PEARS is for healthcare providers such as emergency medical technicians (EMTs), medical and surgical nurses, school nurses and any other healthcare provider who infrequently sees critically ill infants and children.

  • Pediatric assessment
  • Assessment and management of respiratory problems
  • Recognition and management of shock
  • Identification and management of cardiac arrest
  • Resuscitation team concept

Course Duration:

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course

Course Content:

PALS is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.

  • Cardiac, respiratory and shock case discussions and simulations
  • Key changes in pediatric advanced life support, reflecting the new science from the American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
  • Management of respiratory emergencies

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider Course

 Course Content:

The NRP® course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery.  NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, which includes online testing, online case-based simulations, and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and team-work skills.

The NRP Provider Course introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation. It is designed for health care professionals involved in any aspect of neonatal resuscitation, including physicians, nurses, advanced practice nurses, nurse midwives, licensed midwives, respiratory care practitioners, and other health care professionals who provide direct care during neonatal resuscitation.

Course Duration:  

  • Half Days= (4.5 -6.0 Hours; Including Breaks & Testing)

Course Certification:

  • Upon successful completion, students get the following
  • NRP ITC Center Course Completion Card
  • Certificate of Attendance, Awarded CPD Hours by HAAD
