Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival
Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival runs till February 20, 2021 in Al Wathba and celebrates UAE culture, traditions and heritage. Get to experience Emirati culture through art, crafts, food and performances throughout the festival, including workshops, events and markets will also be held for visitors, as well falconry displays, camel races and fireworks. There’s even a regular bus service from Abu Dhabi

Nature Lovers
Jubail Mangrove Park, on Jubail Island, is open again. You can saunter along the 2.3km boardwalks winding their way through Abu Dhabi’s fascinating mangroves. Catch glimpses of terrestrial and aquatic flora and fauna. There are rangers on hand too, to educate you on the history of the mangroves and explain about the wildlife that is native to Abu Dhabi. Guided kayaking and full moon walks are also on the cards, so head there today but remember: YOU MUST BOOK online.

Sport & fitness on Hudayriyyat Ilsand
If you’re looking to boost your adrenaline, head to Hudayriyyat Island where UAE’s most thrilling outdoor adventure hub Circuit X has now opened. There’s a full range of fun and challenging experiences at the new Circuit X outdoor adventure park featuring BMX Park, High Ropes Park, Skate Park, and Splash & Climb Park (At the time of writing, Splash & Climb Park were closed due to Covid).

Take in the sea air
Leave work and school day blues far behind and head to Abu Dhabi’s beautiful Corniche and let your worries float away on a sea breeze. Walking is great, but for those with energy to burn there’s a cycling and running track that winds its way along the beautifully manicured Corniche. There are a few cafés en route too, for those much needed refreshments.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
One of the world’s largest mosques is open and now is the perfect time to pay this incredible and unforgettable structure a visit. Rediscover the 82 domes, the largest of which sits presides over the main prayer hall. Stand in reverence and absorb the sheer scale of the design elements, including pure white marble cladding, onion shaped ‘crowns’ and crescent shaped finials.
