Domestic football matches are returning to full capacity after relaxing of restrictions

Fans will need to show a green pass or negative PCR test to enter.

It has been an exciting fortnight for the UAE’s football fans with the hosting of the FIFA Club World Cup 2021 and the confirmation of the submission to host the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2023 and more good news is on the way.

UAE Pro League matches will now be played at full capacity after stadium entry protocol for domestic football matches was updated by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) in coordination with The UAE Football Association (UAEFA).

The updated measures will see fans having to present a green pass on the Al Hosn app or show a negative PCR test certificate not exceeding 96 hours from matchday in order to gain entry to the ground.

Football is the second major recreational facility after cinemas to increase their capacities to 100 per cent after the NCEMA announced a gradual relaxing of COVID-19 measures last week.
