Move for fun and for a noble cause in the UAE capital this April

April is shaping up to be a super active month, with a bunch of exciting events lined up in Abu Dhabi!

Apart from the Ramadan Night Run, here are a few events to check out right away.

Ring The Bell Challenge

6 April

Obstacle course lovers, this one’s for you! Head to the Desert Shield Fitness Center in Mena Port for an amazing Ring-the-Bell Challenge.

The series of team-building activities are perfect for community teams, comprised of three members. Each member of the team will participate in a series of physical and mental challenges with the winning team in each challenge ‘ringing the bell.’

A new addition this time around is the Ring-the-Bell Challenge for Reach. The pre-event fundraising challenge will see teams compete to raise the most funds to support Reach’s efforts to combat neglected tropical diseases.

DUYAS

10 April

Tighten the laces for a duathlon!

The Ramadan Edition will feature both sprint and super sprint contests, including completing three activities in succession starting a run, followed by a cycle and finishing with a run as an individual or team of two or three people.

For the Sprint duathlon, the event kicks off with a 5km run, 20km bike ride, ending with a 2.5km run. For the Super Sprint duathlon, athletes will start off with a 2.5km run, followed by a 10km bike and ends with a 1.25km run.

RunYAS

10 April

If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, you could start off with RunYAS before the duathlon!

Check in for the run at 7pm at Yas Marina Circuit at Yas Island Abu Dhabi and choose from the 5km or 2.5km run.

The race starts from 8:30pm post which you can head to DuYas at 9:15pm.

Walk For Inclusion

15 April

#MovetoInclude with the Abu Dhabi community, and register for the Walk For Inclusion.

Walk alongside family and friends with the trails of Hudayriyat Island as the perfect drop as you move to promote awareness for autism acceptance.

The walk will start at the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and take you out along the Heritage Trail under a very special blue glow lighting the way. Of course, there will be some additional activities scheduled for families to enjoy!

Participants will be able to collect an event t-shirt (subject to availability) and a walking bib. At the completion of your walk, each participant will be awarded a medal and gift too, making for the perfect incentive to a noble cause!
