Abu Dhabi students hit the spotlight as All-Stars debut at championship final

Get ready, Abu Dhabi—this Saturday, the city’s most promising young athletes are stepping into the spotlight at the Abu Dhabi Sports Championship Finals!

And the buzz? It’s all about the debut of the All-Stars Team—a bold new initiative linking top-performing school athletes with elite training programs designed to propel them onto national and international stages.

Kicking off their journey in style, the All-Stars will hit the court at 2.30 pm in a high-octane futsal showcase match—expect under-15 standouts, lightning-fast footwork, and a serious display of heart, hustle, and teamwork. It’s a celebration of raw talent and the future of sport in the UAE.

But this isn’t just a one-day spotlight. Launching officially in August 2025, the All-Stars pilot spans four high-energy sports: football, basketball, table tennis, and badminton.

Players have been scouted from major school tournaments like the Abu Dhabi Sports Championship and the Charter Schools Cup, with eyes firmly set on developing long-term talent and providing young athletes with opportunities that stretch far beyond the schoolyard.

Backed by ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge), the All-Stars initiative goes hand-in-hand with their mission to boost student well-being, encourage physical activity, and create inclusive, empowering sports environments. Think of it as a launchpad for future champions—on and off the field.

The big day? Saturday, 10 May at Marina Hall, ADNEC. Doors swing open at 10am, with the Closing Ceremony rolling out from 4.30pm to 6pm.

Bring your family, grab your friends, and come cheer on the next generation of sports legends. Expect action, energy, food, fun, prizes—and unforgettable moments.

Abu Dhabi, it’s game time. Are you in?
