The unprecedented downpours took hold all over the country, surpassing any recorded since data collection began in 1949, swept across various regions of the UAE since Sunday evening.
The National Centre of Meteorology disclosed that the record-breaking rainfall occurred within a 24-hour period, ending at 9 pm on Tuesday.
