The astronaut recently shared his experiences live from the International Space Station
UAE’s favourite astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is definitely making ‘out of the world’ waves, and there’s a new first.
In an interactive video conference by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the Emirati astronaut shared his remarkable experience of practising jiu-jitsu in space!
Al Neyadi has made history by becoming the first astronaut to practise the martial art form at the International Space Station. And he speaks highly of its benefits too.
During the session, Al Neyadi engaged in a captivating conversation with the UAE National Team and congratulated them for their fourth consecutive win at the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship.
For the uninitiated, the championship took place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, last week, where the team performed outstandingly, securing a total of 14 impressive medals: eight gold, four silver, and two bronze.
Furthermore, Al Neyadi also shared his insights on how his jiu-jitsu experience has helped during his mission. “Practising jiu-jitsu in the unique environment of space has been an extraordinary experience,” he said, live from the International Space Station.
If you haven’t gotten around to it already, here’s a great reason to get going!
