Abu Dhabi schools change requirement for PCR test results for students

The changes affect students.

Students under the age of 16 will now be able to enter schools in Abu Dhabi with a PCR test result with a 28-day validity it has been announced.

Previously test results for students in that age bracket could only attend school in-person in Abu Dhabi with a PCR test result that was undertaken in the last 14 days.

Parents in the emirate were also reminded that students above the age of 16 will still need to undergo a PCR test every 14 days and present the negative result on their Al Hosn app in order to enter school’s premises.

The relaxed measure is just one of many COVID-19 precautionary measures to be introduced into Abu Dhabi in the last few days with the removal of the Abu Dhabi/Dubai border, wristbands for confirmed COVID-19 cases quarantining at home and the mandatory requirement for facemasks outside.
