Different categories will test at different facilities.
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has updated its procedures for those who come into close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
Effective immediately members of the public will have to undergo a PCR test and self-quarantine for seven or 10 days if they are vaccinated or unvaccinated respectively.
If the result is negative, vaccinated members of the public will need to retest on day six of contact with unvaccinated residents requiring a day nine tests from any health facility in the emirate.
Upon the receipt of a negative test result, you may resume your normal daily activities.
Should your first PCR test result be positive, you will be split into two groups; high risk and other which includes mild symptoms and no chronic diseases.

Those in the high-risk category must visit a designated COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centre for medical assessment and isolation measures.
High-risk are considered to be those in the over 50 age-bracket, have symptoms, have a chronic disease and pregnant women.
Those in the other category can retest in any health facility in the emirate and should a positive test result be returned, a specialist will contact you to complete the isolation procedures.
If a negative test result is produced, you will be required to take another PCR test within 24 hours and should the result be negative, you will be allowed to leave quarantine.
To end the isolation, you must receive two negative results 24 hours apart or conduct a PCR test on days eight and 10 and complete 10 days in isolation with no symptoms in the last three days of isolation after a medical evaluation.
Close contacts will receive a SMS to conduct a PCR test and can self-register in home quarantine through the link provided.
