ADCB Zayed Sports City Pink Run

This Friday, slap your sweatbands and pull on your trainers and get your feet moving for a great cause. The 10th annual ACBD Zayed Sports City Pink Run is taking place on 22 October with all proceeds raised going to the Al Jalila Foundation for Breast Cancer Initiatives. Welcoming all abilities, participants can run (or walk) a choice of 3km, 5km or 10km routes with the finish line inside the Zayed Football Stadium. Australia v South Africa at Zayed Cricket Stadium

The ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup bursted into life on Sunday and now the time has come for the big boys of world cricket to join the jamboree. Duking it out on Saturday 23 October at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Khalifa City A, title contenders Australia and South Africa will clash to see who will gain an earlier advantage for the race for top spot in group one. Warehouse421

Warehouse421’s Fall season launched this week and aesthetes can feast their eyes upon a new exhibition As We Gaze Upon Her.  Louvre Abu Dhabi

An exhibition to get sinophiles excited, Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Dragon and Phoenix – Centuries of Exchange between Chinese and Islamic Worlds will enable visitors to explore the cultural and artistic exchange between the two civilisations from the 8th to the 18th centuries. PASS Abu Dhabi

If your kids love football then get them down to Al Hudayriyat Island for the last day of the PASS Abu Dhabi camps at 321 Sports. Under their auspices of former Charlton and Welsh international, John Robisnon, kids are put through their paces on the football paddock for AED 200. If they are an all-round sportsperson then why not get them involved at the PASS Abu Dhabi multi-sport camp where they can try their hand out at netball and tennis as well as football. Umm Al Emarat Park

Who doesn’t love a talkative parrot? Well on 22 October the whole family can have a chat (or squawk) with a whole variety of the bird at the parrot pop-up at Umm Al Emarat Park. Taking place between 4.30pm and 6.30pm, keepers and handlers will be on hand to help you get up close and personal with the stunning birds and impart some interesting information about the avian guests. Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi

Halloween is less than two weeks away but if the kids can’t wait that long, then a trip to Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi is the ideal place to visit this three-day weekend. Dare to walk the mean streets of Gotham City on Frightful Fridays or help Scooby find Trickity Treats on Saturday or simply chill out and eat some tasty Halloween sweets and that isn’t even mentioning the 45 rides. The British chef will be serving up some tasty dinners at two of the hotel’s beautiful restaurants; Oak Room and Alba Terrace. Diners will have the chance to interact and speak to the main man himself while he dishes out succulent carvery cuts in the Oak Room and light, refreshing nibbles in Alba Terrace. On Thursday, it’s all rosé and from midday to 5pm, ladies and gents can soak up the sun with drinks and nibbles for AED 149 and AED 299 respectively. Too busy during the day? The Green

The Green was open for play at the start of the month and anyone who has had a chance to pop down to the venue at Abu Dhabi City Golf Club will tell you it is worth a day out. Offering up cool beverages, barbecue fare and more, the pop-up is guaranteed great day out. Saturdays are all about the kids with two mega bouncy castles and live music by Nicola Warwick. Jubail Mangrove Park

With so much to do in Abu Dhabi it can be difficult to forget that getting some fresh air in the lungs can be just as enjoyable as a staycay or fancy dinner. Jubail Mangrove Park has reopened for autumn and families can stroll along the 2.3km boardwalk and soak in the mangroves which have an abundance of wildlife. But if you want something a little bit more immersive, why not see the park from a different perspective with a kayak along the waterways of one of Abu Dhabi’s must wonderful natural settings.
