Saudi flight ban has been lifted

UAE residents may enter the Kingdom from today.

The UAE is being removed from Saudi Arabia’s banned country list as of today (Wednesday 8 September).

Effective from 11am, passengers coming from the UAE to the Kingdom and vice versa will be allowed entry via land, sea and airports.

The ban had been in place since 3 July when Saudi authorities restricted entry from several countries including the UAE, due to the prevalence of COVID-19 variants.

Other countries removed from the list include South Africa and Argentina.

Fancy a trip to see the Kingdom?

All passengers looking to visit Saudi Arabia must have had two doses of either Pfizer BioNTech, Oxford AstraZeneca or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson and must produce a certified vaccine certificate.

Those with the Sinopharm or Sinovac jab are permitted entry if they have received a booster shot of one of the four aforementioned vaccines.

A negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to departure to Saudi Arabia is also required for entry.
