Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain is a top-rated tourist attraction in the UAE, according to a report on WAM – UAE News Agency.
The UAE is well known around the world for being a luxury tourist destination, with many visitors interested in the country’s shopping malls, luxury hotels and other such destinations.
However, natural destinations such as Jebel Hafeet are giving malls a run for their money and helping to diversify the UAE as a tourist destination.
According to the WAM report, several factors have contributed to enhancing the attractiveness of these areas and the growing demand to visit them.
The most important of which is the huge projects being implemented in these areas, the development and upgrading of the main roads leading to and around them, and projects designed to raise the efficiency of the services provided.
Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain City is the first tourist destination at the city level and is one of the largest mountains in the UAE.
The mountain is surrounded by Ghaf trees and is home to rare animals such as feral cats and some small mammals such as red foxes and hyraxes.
It’s great news for birdwatchers too. There are a large number of birds, such as Egyptian vultures, kestrel, Moroccan falcon and many migratory birds from various other continents.
Hatta Dam in the City of Hatta, Al Rafisah Dam Rest Area in Sharjah and Jebel Jais are also top-rated natural tourist attractions in the UAE, according to WAM.
The UAE is rich in many natural and historical sites, which are expected to witness a shift in the level of services provided there, to be included in the top tourist attractions.
This is expected to enhance tourism options and raise the level of diversity of tourism.
