Spring is upon us and that can only mean one thing:  A fabulous burst of colour.

And never has this been brighter than when celebrating the Holi Festival of Colours, a Hindu celebration that dates back to the 4th century, marking the beginning of spring and representing the triumph of good over evil.

Already known for its colourful attractions, Yas Island has put on a multi-coloured light show to celebrate the start of the Holi Festival of Colours, which begins on today 28 March and ends on Monday 29 March this year.

Celebrated worldwide and popularised with the throwing of colored powder, in celebration of the joyous festival, attractions across Yas Island lit up in a vivid display,  including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, CLYMB Abu Dhabi, Yas Plaza Hotels, as well as Etihad Arena and W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island.

Head over there and you’ll get to see the attractions lit up in red and pink – symbolising love and fertility;  yellow – symbolising the colour of turmeric known for its healing properties;  blue -representing the Hindu gods Krishna and Vishnu;  and green  – symbolising new beginnings.
