4 fabulous glamping spots in Abu Dhabi and further afield


Roughing it in the desert might not be everybody’s idea of fun, so Team Yalla rounds up a few glamping sites in Al Ain, another close to the city on Hudayriyat Island and one beyond the borders of Abu Dhabi Emirate.

Bab Al Nojoum



You don’t need to travel far to take camping to the next level. Head over the suspension bridge to Hudayriat Island and choose from a four-man duplex tent or six-man chalet tent. Both provide a plunge pool directly outside the accommodation and to keep you cool indoors is a temperature control split aircon unit. The duplex features two queen-size beds while the chalet has a queen-size bed, two single beds and one queen-size mattress. You’ll want for nothing with linens and pillows and towels all provided. The kitchen is fully equipped and there’s even free wifi.

Jebel Hafeet Desert Park



Go glamping under the stars in the shadow of the mighty Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain. Choose from a traditional Bedouin-inspired tents, bubble tents — featuring with panoramic windows perfect for star-gazing, or luxury dome tents that come with aircon a TV and even a telescope for spotting the milkyway. Hang around the campsite gazing at stars or go hiking, mountain biking, horse or camel riding. You could explore further and discover fascinating archaeological and historical remains that tell enchanting stories of this unique area’s ancient.

Sedr Trailer, Hatta



Head to Hatta in Dubai Emirate to the the region’s first ‘trailers hotel, and camp along the banks of Hatta in your very own Sedr trailer nestled in the mountains. The trailers accommodate two adults and two children under the age of eight. You’ll want for nothing as each trailer features that all-important aircon, tea and coffee facilities, TV, fridge and there’s even a hairdryer. You’ll also have direct access to Hatta Kayak onsite. As you can imagine this spot is extremely popular and experiences a high demand in bookings.

Damani Lodges, Hatta



Still in Hatta, these lodges feature its own private terrace so you get the perfect view overlooking the Hatta Wadi Hub activity park. Nestled in the Hatta Mountains, each lodge can sleep two adults and two children. Expect the amenities of a five-star hotel but as soon as you open the door and step into the great outdoors, you become at one with nature. Again, as you can imagine this spot is extremely popular and experiences a high demand in bookings.
