If you’re looking for things to do in Abu Dhabi next week, we’ve put together our top 5 activities to keep the kids (and the adults!) entertained for less during this half term holiday!
Saadiyat Public Beach
Feel the sand between your toes and take a dip in the beautiful turquoise waters! Set along the stunning natural shoreline of Saadiyat island, the 400-metre public beach is a great spot for a budget-friendly day out. The beach is environmentally protected too, meaning that the natural wildlife surrounding the beachfront is perfectly untouched.
Fun Fact: The dune vegetation surrounding Saadiyat beach is home to the endangered hawksbill turtle

Top Tip: Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to hire from AED50, and bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms are available, plus there is plenty of parking around the beach

Yas Marina
Yas Marina on Yas Island is definitely a destination for the whole family. Children can explore the playground or cool off with a splash in the musical water fountain, whilst the whole family can enjoy a relaxed meal overlooking the race track at one of the marina’s seven licensed restaurants.
Fun Fact: All of the restaurants at Yas Marina boast stunning views of the marina and Formula 1 race track

Umm Al Emarat Park
Umm Al Emarat Park is one of the largest and oldest parks in Abu Dhabi. Families can spend hours exploring the Shade House, discovering the Animal Barn, and enjoying the parks many other facilities such as the Children’s Garden, Amphitheatre, Great Lawn, Botanic Garden, and Evening Garden.
Fun Fact: Originally named Mushrif Park, the park was built in 1982 as a park for ladies and children, and has recently re-opened as Umm Al Emarat Park after extensive renovation
Opening Times: Daily from 8am until midnight
Entry: General admission AED5/ Children below age of 3 enter for free
Top Tip: In keeping with the park’s history and heritage, over 200 trees from the old park have been salvaged and positioned in their original spaces throughout the park
NEORUN at Zayed Sports City
Ready, set, GLO! NEORUN returns to Zayed Sports City this half term, on Saturday 27th October. The Scariest Place to GLO, NEORUN is the ultimate UV paint-filled fun night run, which has been designed exclusively for ages 10 and up. There will be several GLO-tastic zones along the 5km party route which are filled with spooktacular Halloween themed surprises. Leading up to the main stage, you will join the scariest neo party ever assembled, and dance the night away as you GLO from head to toe. This year over 10,000 Neo Runners are expected to take part in the event o October 27th!
Ensure you dress to kill, let your creepy creativity come alive, dress up and stand out, fancy dress is a must . . . or else!
